Cool Blog Idea - Get to Know Me!

Mannequin Heads for our Bib Displays!

Hi there,

Jennifer posted on her blog the other day, and I learned a lot about her, so I am copying the idea she had in her blog.

I dream: About leaving work in the middle of the day and getting caught.

I am: Patti Greene

I think: That grass needs to be watered too much in the summer.

I know: That I am glad Jimmy graduated from Babson College.

I wish: Jennifer lived closer to us.

I hate: That Johnny had to have kidney surgery while he was so young.

I miss: Some of my friends in St. Peters, Missouri.

I fear: That I am going to keep gaining weight.

I feel: Therefore I am!

I hear: Monk in the background (it’s a T.V. show)

I smell: A clean house right now.

I crave: A lot of ice-cream this summer.

I search: Any question someone has.

I wonder: If I would be different if I had a lot of money.

I love: Mom, Dad, John, Jennifer, Johnny, and Jimmy.

I care: If I look fat in an outfit.

I always: Drink coffee everyday.

I believe: In Jesus.

I cried: When we left Jimmy at Babson. A lot!

I don’t always: Make our bed when Dad is out of town.

I fight: I really don’t fight.

I write: My prayer requests down all the time.

I lose: My keys, my pens, anything little…all the time.

I never: Go to bars.

I listen: To God.

I can usually be found: Not far from a computer (online).

I need: To sell some of our bibs.

I am happy about: Having two “entrepreneurial companies-The Bib Shoppe and The Awesome Librarian

I desire: For "the little guy - Camren" to be healthy and Jennifer to have a good rest of her pregnancy.

I hope: Mom, Dad, and Mary stay healthy for a long time.

Hope you enjoyed my blog today!

Love you.

Mom/Patti

Bibs, Books, and Being an "Awesome Librarian"

Hi Everyone,

How are you?

I have been so busy since I have returned from Vermont.

I posted new shirts and items on my CafePress site (www.cafepress.com/awesomelibrary.) Aunt Mary was my 3rd customer. She bought three journals from me. Oh, and dad (Grandfather) was my 4th customer. He wanted a shirt with his friend's picture on it, so I did that. Oh, maybe I shouldn't call him a customer yet, he hasn't paid me for the shirt yet. Of course, I had to order for both of them, and personally deliver the items. I was so happy with how the three journals turned out for Mary. But, besides that NO SUMMER SALES! I made a lot of cool designs in Vermont though. I also ordered some postcards to send out about my site. The thing with CafePress is you really have to do your own advertising. But, the best news is that I am getting a free listing in the 2009 Librarian's Yellow Pages. Don't laugh. Yes, librarians have a yellow pages. It lists stores, suppliers, etc. It is nationwide, but it doesn't come to every librarian, you have to order it, but it will get my name out there. I am assuming that my website will be on it. Here are a few of my new summer designs.

Picture directly below is a journal!

Also, Evelyn and I have been very busy with our bib business - The Bib Shoppe. (bibshoppe.blogspot.com) - you have to type this one in mom and dad! We have two sewers now. No money, but a lot of hope. Anyone want to invest in our business? G&G are on a brochure wearing their bibs. And Aunt Mary has her photo in a frame at Christus Hospital in Katy wearing her bib. Today, we met with one of our new sewers, went to the hospital gift shop, and an Alzheimer's clinic. The best thing about this business right now is that in the fall, we can give all our pictures and information to students at the University of Houston, and for a class project, they will be creating a website for us. Isn't that cool? Then, we can change things out from whatever they come up with. Oh, and cool - today I got my 5 mannequin heads in the mail - two men and three women to put our bibs on if we go to craft fairs. I am also in touch with this guy in China who says he can make bibs for us at the factory. I may wait on that one, but he is in the back of my mind.

Phew, who wants to be a librarian? I am having too much fun doing this stuff.

Dad (John) is off for two weeks starting today. We might try to go somewhere on vacation. We haven't had a vacation for just us two in about 5 years.

Jen and Coby's baby will probably be born sometime between October 7th and October 14th. The doctor told her he was going to take the little guy 3 weeks early. She starts her steroid treatment next week to get the baby's lungs ready. Jen is having a shower on Sunday, August 24th if you girls would like to go. Actually, it means mom and Danielle! We would love for you to come. Johnny, you could bring Danielle and see your 'ol mom at the same time!

I don't hear from Johnny much. So, no news must be good news.

I haven't heard from Jimmy much at all this week. He started his new job. I am assuming he likes it. I think he likes the idea that JLL lets you "work from home" one day a week. That will start once he gets situated. He still hasn't sent me the pics from his apt., but that is probably because he doesn't have the Internet or cable yet. I think he is getting that tomorrow.

Well, take care.

I love you all.

Greene News: Vermont, Bibs, Awesome Librarian

Hi Everyone,

Here is a little catch-up news from the Greene household.

I just wrote a long blog, but I accidently deleted it, so here is what I elaborated on in a nutshell.

1. We moved Jimmy into his apartment in San Antonio yesterday. He starts his job with Jones, Lang, and LaSalle tomorrow. Maybe I will send pics of his new apartment in the next blog.

2. Vermont was great - except for the day I fell on my behind at Simon Pearce! I am recovering though.
Grandfather in Woodstock, Vermont
Mary, Grandmother, and their 92 year old cousin.
Mary, G&G, and Patti at the Woodstock Inn
Mary and G&G in Woodstock
Our Quechee, Vermont condo

4. Johnny and Danielle went boating with Jeff and Lori last weekend. And, from what I hear it was such an experience---basically, Jeff drove the boat into a sand dune, and he had to call for a boat tow and it took many, many hours to get back to shore.

5. John returned from Chili and Peru.
6. I started a bib business with my friend Evelyn. Check out my first blog entry at bibshoppe.blogspot.com.

7. I have made $4.80 so far with The Awesome Librarian CafePress business. I have to advertise soon. I am just contemplated how to advertise. Here are some of my summer creations.

8. Jennifer and Coby are excited about the upcoming birth of Camren. He is so cute from the ultrasound. I am still so amazed that we can see what he looks like so clearly.

I always enjoy comments!
