Spring Break and more...

Hi there,

I want to wish all of you a very Happy Easter! Over my vacation, I just stayed home, but I was awfully busy. I made a couple of bibs for mom and dad, started the process to start a little online business, and babied dad who was home sick for most of the past week. I also went to Rice Village for the first time since living in Houston. Weird! I can't believe I had never been there. I also went to a cafeteria called "Cleburne's Cafeteria" for the first time. It was so good. I eyed these huge pieces of cakes, but I didn't have one. Over spring break, Jennifer and Coby went to Padre Island; Jimmy went to Baltimore, Orlando, and Greenwich; and John and Danielle stayed in Dallas where Danielle's dad and stepmother came to visit them.

I had some pics to put on this post, but I left my camera at mom and dad's house when we were there for our delicious Easter dinner that included Grandmother's superb cooking of ham, turkey, potatoes, vegetable casserole, asparagus, cranberry sauce, rolls, salad, gravy, cake, and ice-cream! Hmm, it was so good. We celebrated Madeleine and Michael's birthdays. I will include some pics in the next post.

I decided to fill my empty nest syndrome with CafePress! I have an account with them where I will be designing shirts, cups, etc. and hopefully selling them. My company name is "The Awesome Librarian." I have a DBA - 'DOING BUSINESS AS"! My site won't be up for a few months. I have to decide what image program to use. Jimmy will be helping me with the technical things, but I think I will be able to learn how to do it all myself with a little practice. I think I will be going with Adobe Photoshop. I have two domain names http://www.theawesomelibrarian.com/ and http://www.awesomelibrarian.com/. I won't be working on that until I get the store front up and going though. If you want to see the start of my new store, you can go to www.cafepress.com/libraryitems. Nothing is there yet, but my start! We will see how it goes. It's not my retirement fund. It is just for fun, but I am hoping to make some money. And, I am not competing with Coby! I think we have a totally different market.

Now that TAKS is over at school, the library is SO busy with research. Everyone wanted to wait until TAKS is over. I start the 10th grade research tomorrow and it will last for 3-4 weeks on folklore. I guess I ought to read some of the folklores myself.

Pray for dad to feel better.

Love you guys.

Mom / Patti
