Christmas Schedule and Cookie Party

Well, there are only 9 days until Christmas. Since, we are doing our Christmas early, there are only 7 days until Christmas at the Greene's. And 8 days until Christmas at the Londa's! I hope you are counting the days and praying for cool/cold weather.

Mary came in last night. Chuck and Melissa picked her up at the airport, and then we all ate over at G&G's house. I don't know how Grandmother can whip up a meal for that many people and appear to be so calm.

Today, I went to Dorothy Brown's house for a cookie exchange. It was fun. The pictures in this blog are from the cookie party.

Anyway, here is the schedule again...

December 21 - Jen and Coby come in.
December 22 - John and Danielle come in.
December 23 - 9:30 a.m. church at Bear Creek; I am looking forward to the entire family being together for church; Lunch/Brunch at the Greene's.
December 23 (evening) - Dinner either at the Greene's or out to eat somewhere; Christmas Bingo; 9:00 p.m. - Christmas PJ's and then open family gifts.
December 24 - Get up early and open Santa gifts
December 24 (evening) - 5:00 p.m. Dinner and gift opening at Grandmother and Grandfather's house.
December 25 - Jen and Coby's plane leaves at 9:00 a.m.; Christmas Day is a day to just hang out at the house or wherever you are welcome to be.

Let me know if there are any changes needed for the schedule!

Love you guys,

Mom

Ashley's Graduation, Christmas, and Accident!

Hi there,

Well, today I took off work to attend Ashley's graduation party. Grandmother and I drove to South Houston and went to Ashley's luncheon at her grandmother's house. It was really nice, and Ashley seemed to be having a good time. Sorry, I didn't take any pictures.

Jimmy barely made it home for her graduation. It took him over 3 hours to get from Babson to Logan Airport yesterday, and then his 4:30 p.m. plane didn't leave until 9:00 p.m. or so due to the horrific snow storm.

However, on the way to the luncheon at around 12:25 p.m., Grandmother and I saw two people laying on the ground in the middle of the street, and they appeared to be dead. One man was just laying on his side, and the other one had his shirt off and people were giving him CPR. We must have just missed the accident. The police hadn't even arrived yet. Grandmother and I have never seen anything like that before in our lives. It was an awful impression to have in our minds. See link to read about the accident. You will need to copy and paste it to your browser!

Above, you will see some pictures to get you in the mood for Christmas at the Londa's. Grandmother bought Christmas stockings with the name of each Grandchild on them, and Grandfather is out showing off their new wreath.

Love all,

Mom/Patti

My Wig!

Hi Everyone,

Okay, I did it. I decided to buy a wig last Saturday. Dad has been joking that he wants me to get my hair dyed blonde whenever I get my hair dyed. So, I decided to try on some wigs when I had my hair done on Saturday. I learned that I would not be a good blonde - I tried on a few blonde wigs and they looked ridiculous on me. But, I tried on a wig (close to my style) with blonde highlights.

I decided that if dad could buy a CUSTOM steel guitar, I could buy a wig. So, I did. But, I didn't tell him. I decided to see if he would notice it if I wore it tonight to the Shell company party. And, can you believe it? He didn't even notice. We were together from 6-9:20 p.m. tonight, and only when we got home and I asked him to take my picture that he asked if I got my hair highlighted. I then proceeded to pull off my wig. He never realized I had a wig on. It was a hoot! I won't let him live this down!

So, either, he doesn't look close enough at me OR I have a mighty good wig!

Actually, it was so hard not to say anything for the 3 hours+ that I had my wig on. After, I stripped my wig off, I roused him a lot about it.

Anyway, here are some pictures so you can imagine the situation and laugh with me.
The moral of the story is...."Guys, always look carefully at your wife. Don't take for granted what she looks like. It may be that your wife might be going out in public bald and you might not notice." Hmm....that gives me an idea for next year's party!
Love you guys.
